Leminar opens largest ME ductwork factory

DUBAI: Leminar Air Conditioning Industries has opened what is described as the largest ductwork manufacturing facility in the Middle East.

The US$27.2m, 30,000m² factory at Dubai Industrial City is said to be fitted out with sophisticated, state-of-the-art machinery including a fully-automated coil line.

Leminar Air Conditioning Industries LLC, a member of the Al Shirawi Group of companies, was established in 2000 to meet the growing requirements of the HVAC industry and to provide industrial clients in the area with professional and reliable materials. Leminar currently has international tie-ups with Spiro of Switzerland as well as Fenland Fire Rated Duct system and Galloway Acoustics both from the UK. In addition to the new factory, Leminar has three offices and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in the UAE and Qatar.

Speaking at the opening, Navin Valrani, CEO of Leminar Industries said: "In the year 2000, Leminar Air Conditioning Industries ventured into the promising industry of HVAC ductwork. In less than 12 months from the ground-breaking ceremony for our new facility at Dubai Industrial City, we are proud to have set up the largest HVAC duct manufacturing factory in the region. The opening ceremony was followed by a guided tour of the shop floor. Engaging workshops were also hosted to provide guests with insight into the latest technology machinery used in the manufacture of spiral ducts, acoustic attenuators, fire dampers and other duct-related accessories.
